I can't stand how people use New Years to change or make goals for themselves. I understand that New Years means a fresh start to many people, but I can't stand that people make goals just because it's New Years. My dad texted me a few minutes after New Years and asked if I had any resolutions, and I said no, but I have goals that aren't just for 2013, but they're goals for anything. And he was confused and asked why? Why? Because I don't like resolutions, but I like goals. He then asked what my goals were and I said, I didn't want to say because they're personal. He understood and that was that.
It also annoys me how people use Valentines day to show their significant other they love/care about them. You shouldn't need a day to tell them/show them that. If you cared about them, you would show them every day in little ways, not by buying chocolates, a giant stuffed animal, and flowers. If I ever date and they like Valentines day, I would try my best to show my support, but seriously, you don't need a day to show them you care for them.
